My rug-making journey began in 2023, when my family and I moved to Serbia. For me, such a big change felt like losing my usual anchors and searching for a new sense of home. That’s when I first picked up punch needle embroidery — to keep my hands busy, calm my mind, and feel a bit more grounded.

Soon, these small experiments turned into something bigger: I learned tufting, transformed a room in our rented apartment into a workshop, and started making custom rugs.

NA STENU was born out of a desire to fill spaces with warmth — not just physical, but emotional too.
My rugs often grow out of feelings: they carry a sense of nostalgia, a quiet smile, or memories of something meaningful.

Sometimes it’s an inside joke, a message to a mother, or a love letter in the form of yarn.

I deeply value the trust people place in me when they share their stories. Creating a rug is always a collaborative process: the client becomes the designer of the idea, and I become the guide — helping to capture the right tone, mood, and personality.

The price of a rug depends on its size and the complexity of the design. Sometimes, a large rug with a minimalist phrase takes less time to make than a small one filled with intricate details.
